Briana Scurry to Visit and Motivate Wisconsin Goalkeepers

Briana Scurry to Visit and Motivate Wisconsin Goalkeepers

Former Olympic and USWNT Star Briana Scurry, the greatest female goalie to ever play, is coming to Wisconsin Youth Soccer on Sunday, December 7 and your son or daughter can attend a private clinic with her.  Briana’s event is a fundraiser for WYSA TOP Soccer and Soccer Across America programs* and will be held at UW-Green Bay. Every registered player has the chance to attend a private clinic with Briana! Players who raise at least $125 will attend lunch with Briana Scurry on December 7th, and may be accompanied by one parent or guardian. Lunch includes one item autographed, a picture with Briana, followed by lunch, a Q&A, and finally a private soccer clinic with Briana and the TOP 30 fundraisers. The top 10 overall fundraisers sit with Briana at lunch.  The top 2 overall fund raisers sit next to Briana!

You must register and fundraise to be eligible. It’s as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Follow this link to our fundraising website: www.wysaplayingforkeeps.org
  2. Click “Register” and complete the short registration
  3. Follow the simple instructions emailed to you and email your player fundraising link to family and friends asking for donations for WYSA

TOP Soccer and Soccer Across America Programs

TOP Soccer is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, age 8-19, who has a mental or physical disability. *Soccer Across America is designed to introduce the sport of soccer to youngsters living in communities not yet served by existing clubs and leagues. Focused on making soccer available to lower-income children in under-served communities, Soccer America provides soccer training and administrative guidance to players and organizations who might otherwise not be exposed to the sport. Soccer Across America also helps new programs find the funding and equipment to begin and then to expand their activities.
